Channel Factory is preparing for an exciting activation at the Brand Safety Summit NYC this October. As part of their presence, they will be launching the Alignment Lounge — a branded space where marketers and media leaders can connect, recharge, and learn more about the power of contextual targeting and contextual alignment in video advertising.
As part of a pitch, I was tasked to design a variety of digital assets for the event. The goal was to be thoughtful, polished, and execute on-brand visual messaging.
First was to design a responsive email template. The purpose is to invite brand marketers, agencies, and Channel Factory clients to stop by their Alignment Lounge booth during the event.
I enjoyed building the layout of the template because it is essentially designing a landing page which I have extensive experience in. But this time it put me in the shoes of a project manager/event planner. As I was designing, I imagined what I would want the attendees to see, what message I would want to convey in the email blast. And from there the layout just started “streaming” into my head. Including the “Agenda” items. Fun fact! The map was not originally a map. It was a futuristic symmetrical design I sourced. When I looked at it I immediately thought “this would look great as an expo center” and repurposed it as the map you see now.
Build anticipation and drive registrations for the Brand Safety Summit.
One of the key requirements for the social media posts was that they “Should clearly communicate CF’s presence and booth concept”. The issue with this was that it was incredibly difficult to source free to use photography of a professional trade show setting where the attendees are amongst the booths. The solution? Create illustration graphics. And since Channel Factory tends to put emphasis on actual photography I wanted to pair the illustrations with supplementary photography to help tell the story. One pair (graphic/photo) to showcase their booth and the summit event seminars, one pair to showcase the alignment lounge and attendees networking, and the final pair to showcase the venue.
Summarize the Channel Factory presence at the event and highlight the Alignment Lounge as a key experience.
This was fun to create since I wanted to play with Channel Factory’s use of textures and overlays over abstract imagery. I wanted to make sure I captured the “energy” theme that the guidelines showcased by using the neon circle as a focal point and then using abstract data image textures overlayed by Channel Factory’s gradients.
Visually express the concept of the Alignment Lounge — a branded space that embodies contextual intelligence and the human side of advertising alignment.
